So as this year comes to a close I’d like to let you all know what I’ve been dealing with, I was going to let this go but after a VERY passive aggressive email let me tell you all what REALLY happens when you try to work with Say Yes to Her Dress of Mentor, Ohio. After Paul and I eloped I decided to consign my never worn designer wedding dress in hopes that some lucky bride on a budget could get a steal. I went down to Say Yes to Her Dress and consigned it. 6 months later (the full term of the consignment contract) I gave them a call asking if my dress had sold because I hadn’t heard anything from them in 6 months, it hadn’t. This happened to work out perfectly as Paul and I are planning to renew our vows and I wanted to wear the dress I had originally purchased to marry my best friend, but I had moved across the country and there was no feasible way for me to pick it up. Karen told me this was not at all a problem and they do it all of the time, I would just have to pay for shipping ONLY. Two days later she gave me a call letting me know it would be $78.50 for shipping which seemed EXTREMELY steep, but I paid it and requested that I receive an email with receipts from the shipment. When my arrived, it was clearly printed on the box that this woman had only paid $30.00 to ship my dress from Mentor to Sturbridge where I am currently living. For two weeks I called the shop demanding to speak with her and for TWO WEEKS I was told she was not there. So, naturally, I fought it with my bank. The minute that Karen caught wind of this my phone was BLOWING UP. She tried to tell me multiple times that she had overestimated the shipment and that she had sent me a check along with receipts in the mail (which I had never received.) Now, I want it on the record that I only disputed $48.50 of this charge and sent the shipping receipt to my bank. The bank me to have no contact with the vendor during this process, so I ignored the 6 calls a day I got from this woman every day for weeks. After I did not reply to this, she contacted people we had mutually in common on Facebook and told them to message me and tell me to call her (at this point I am being harassed over the $48.50 that was not rightfully hers.) The bank ended the dispute and I got my $48.50 back and I was going to let that be the end of this, until I received this email today. There was absolutely no reason for her to be so passive aggressively rude and I’m now determined to post this everywhere so people know what’s really going on at Say Yes to Her Dress.

I visited this store several months ago and it was beautiful. Lovely selection of clothes and shoes in wonderful condition...priced very nicely. The store owner is very kind, personable, helpful and passionate about her work.
